Our mission in action
Box of Brightness is a youth-led service initiative founded by Gianna Sesi with the goal of bringing comfort, joy, and encouragement to children ages 6–12 who are undergoing chemotherapy in hospitals.
Children going through chemotherapy face long, exhausting days filled with uncertainty, fear, and discomfort. Box of Brightness was created to remind them that they are not alone. Each care package is thoughtfully assembled with toys, crafts, comfort items, and a handwritten note to help brighten a child’s day and provide a sense of normalcy during a difficult time.
Through these boxes, Box of Brightness aims to create small but meaningful moments of happiness, offering children something to look forward to and helping them feel supported, cared for, and hopeful throughout their treatment journey.

Engaging books, small games, and fidget toys to help pass the time and divert attention.
Personal touch
Each box includes a heartfelt, handwritten note, letting children know they are cared for and not alone.
